Hang Son Doong cave, named or meaning mountain river cave was first discovered by a forest ranger named Ho Khanh in 1991. However, no one has ever explored it because of its size and high wind pressure due to the underground river is very large.
Combined total of 13 people from the University of Science Vietnam explorers and British explorers finally roll Caving Expedition 2009 to enter the cave. They spent five days in mid-April to survey the cave line.
By bringing LaserRace based measure 300, the team could measure the height and width of the ceiling cavity along the way in hopes of making maps. Currently the data is analyzed.
However, initial reports indicate, a large main cavity reach double the current record for the largest cave. So, Hang Son Doong cave probably the biggest in the world today.(ar)
